The core design principle of the Site is "your files never leave your device". This policy explains how we (the Site operator) handle information related to your use of the Site.
All documents you open, upload or drag into the Site (PDF, Word, Excel, PPT, images, etc.) are processed entirely within your browser's memory; results are generated and saved directly by your browser.
Our servers (including hosting and CDN) do not receive, store or analyze any content of your documents.
We do not require registration or login, and we do not collect your name, email, phone number or other personal information;
We do not collect the content of your documents, file names, or any processing history.
Language preference: your interface language choice is stored in your browser's localStorage (key "pdf-site-lang"), solely to keep your setting on your next visit. It is never uploaded to any server.
To enable local processing, your browser downloads open-source engine files from the Site (delivered via Cloudflare CDN) the first time you use certain features — for example, the Office-to-PDF engine (~58 MB, Brotli-compressed in transit), the in-browser Python runtime (Pyodide) with its scientific computing packages, and OCR language models.
These files are cached by your browser and used only for local computation; they contain none of your data.
The Site's static assets are hosted and delivered by Cloudflare (Pages and R2). Your requests (such as IP address, browser type, and access time) transit Cloudflare's network and may be logged under its own terms and privacy policy — this is standard practice for global CDN services.
The Site displays ads through Google AdSense: Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. The Site currently integrates no other analytics or tracking SDKs.
The Site uses the localStorage key mentioned above for your language preference; Google AdSense may use cookies (such as the DART cookie) to serve ads. You can manage or opt out of personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings (https://adssettings.google.com); see Google's Ads & Privacy page (https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads) for details.
The Site is intended for general audiences and does not knowingly collect any personal information; minors may use it with the knowledge and consent of a guardian.
