Split PDF

Split PDF online, free: divide by fixed page count, by page ranges, or pick pages manually. Runs locally — never uploaded.

Divides one document into as many files as you need: automatic grouping by fixed page count, precise cutting by page ranges, or manual page picking in Page mode.

It scales with the job — use "every N pages" for batches, range expressions such as 1-3,5,8-10 for exact chapters, or Page mode for free-form selection.

Everything runs locally in your browser — nothing is uploaded to any server.

How to use

  1. Upload a PDF — Drop in or select the document to split.
  2. Choose a method — Split by rule (every N pages) or by ranges, or switch to Page mode for manual selection.
  3. Split and download — Each generated file can be downloaded separately.

FAQ

How are the split files named?

Files are named automatically in page order (for example "original-1.pdf"). Some systems append a number when a name already exists — rename after downloading if you need something specific.

What is the difference between rule, range and manual mode?

Rule mode splits every N pages, which suits even chunking; range mode uses notation such as 1-3,5,8-10 to decide what each file contains; manual mode lets you delete unwanted pages first and then export what remains.

Does splitting reduce quality?

No. Splitting only reorganises pages and never re-encodes content, so vectors and the text layer are preserved exactly as they were.
