PDF to Markdown
Convert PDF to Markdown online, free: infer headings and lists from the layout and get an editable .md file.
Converts a PDF into Markdown text, inferring heading levels, lists and paragraphs from font sizes and layout so you can keep editing in a notes app or docs system.
It works from the PDF text layer, so image-only scans need OCR first; multi-column layouts and complex tables may need manual tidying.
Everything runs locally in your browser — nothing is uploaded to any server.
How to use
- Upload a PDF — Drop in a PDF that contains a text layer.
- Choose a page range — Convert only the chapters you need.
- Convert and download .md — Continue editing in your Markdown editor.
