PDF to Office

Convert PDF to Word, Excel or PowerPoint online, free. In-browser conversion with editable output.

Turns a PDF back into editable Office documents: body text to Word, tables to Excel, pages to PowerPoint — ideal when you need to keep working on the original content.

Conversion is performed by an in-browser Python engine, downloaded on first use (tens of MB, then cached). Multi-column layouts, complex tables and scans are hard cases and may need manual cleanup.

Everything runs locally in your browser — nothing is uploaded to any server.

How to use

  1. Upload a PDF — Drop in the document to convert.
  2. Pick a target format — Choose Word, Excel or PowerPoint as needed.
  3. Convert and download — Start the conversion and download the editable file when it finishes.

FAQ

Why does the first conversion take so long?

Conversion relies on an in-browser Python engine and conversion libraries. The first run downloads tens of MB of runtime, which the browser then caches, so later conversions are much faster.

Will the layout differ after conversion?

To some degree, yes. PDF is a fixed layout while Word, Excel and PowerPoint are reflowable; multi-column layouts, text boxes, complex tables and formulas are known hard cases, so proofread the output.

Can scanned documents be converted this way?

Not directly. Scans have no text layer, so run OCR to Word first to extract the text, then tidy up the layout in the output.
