Crop PDF

Crop PDF online, free: drag a box to trim margins, with reversible view cropping or permanent hard cropping.

Drag a box to trim margins, black borders or excess white space so the document reads and prints better.

Two modes are available: a view crop only changes the page window while the content stays in the file (restorable at any time), whereas a hard crop rewrites the page so every application treats it as genuinely smaller.

Everything runs locally in your browser — nothing is uploaded to any server.

How to use

  1. Upload a PDF — Drop in the document to crop.
  2. Adjust the crop box — Drag the handles or use a quick preset.
  3. Choose a mode and export — Pick view cropping or hard cropping as needed.

FAQ

What is the difference between view cropping and hard cropping?

View cropping only changes the visible page window; the trimmed content stays in the file and can be restored at any time. Hard cropping rebuilds the page: the file gets smaller, but the change is permanent.

Can cropping remove black borders from scans?

Yes. Pull the box in to the content boundary with a preset or by dragging; the borders sit outside the content area and disappear after cropping.

Can I undo a crop?

With view cropping, yes — just set a larger box again. Hard cropping is irreversible, so keep the original file as a safety net.
